On July 31 I closed the doors of Langley Diving for the last time. The moment could best be described as bitter sweet. I was sad that the sale of the shop had fallen through at the last minute and my staff and customers were left homeless, as it were. I was happy, though, that I was now facing retirement and the chance to dive, ride and travel with my wife and family.
I have been asked by many where they should now go for courses, gear, and service. There are many fine PADi dive centres in BC and all are accessible from the PADI web site online or on your mibile device.
For those of you generally east of the Port Mann Bridge in the Fraser Valley you have a couple of options.
Ocean Pro Divers is located in White Rock and is an established full service PADI 5 Star Instructional Development Centre. They offer a full range of products, courses and service. You will recognize a few of our former staff now working for Ocean Pro.
Jolly Roger's Dive Center is a new PADI center which is made up of some of fine staff who worked for me at Langley Diving. They are just getting started and are currently offering courses throughout the Fraser Valley.
So in conclusion . . . .
To my staff, thank you for your tireless efforts on behalf of Langley Diving. You were in large part the driving force behind the shop.
To my thousands of customers, thank you for your patronage, your encouragement and your friendship.
To my suppliers, thank you for your guidance and the exceptional products we were able to offer to our customers.
To the folks at PADI, at home and abroad, thank you for your guidance and direction. I look forward to continuing to teach as a proud PADI Course Director.
To Lena, I love you sweetheart.
Safe diving everyone
