EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

The Emergency First Response (EFR) Course is an internationally recognizied study of primary and secondary care including application of up to date CPR training and the use of artificial external defibrillators.

The Primary Care components focuses on the A-B-C-D’S

  • Airway
  • Breathing
  • Circulation and CPR
  • Defibrillation
  • Serious bleeding, spinal injury and shock management

The Secondary Care components focus on

  • Illness assesment
  • Injury Asessment
  • Bandaging
  • Splinting

An abbreviated CPR/AED alone course is offered for those wishing to obtain these primary essential skills.

The Primary and Secondary as well as the CPR/AED course are valuable to non-divers as well as divers. We can all benefit from skills which enable us to assist those who are in medical emergencies at home, school, work or play.

The Emergency First Response Course price is $130.00 which includes a training manual and certification card upon succesful completion.

Groups of 10 or more can take the full course for $90.00 per person.

An optional extension to this course includes EFR—Caring For Children. This program covers primary and secondary first aid for children under 8 and can be beneficial to new mothers, baby-sitters or anyone working or caring for small children. This additional course is $70.00.


RESCUE DIVER

“Challenging and rewarding” best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This expands your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training prepares you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the most valuable course they have ever taken.

The course includes four evening class and pool sessions and 1 day of ocean diving. Course costs include training material and use of basic scuba equipment. Personal gear can be rented at a reduced rate.

The Rescue Diver course price is $300.00

Pre-requisite: Emergency First Response course or a recognized equivalent, and the Adavanced Open Water course.


DAN OXYGEN PROVIDER

The standard treatment for any diving emergency includes the administration of Oxygen to the patient. In this course you will learn the proper assembly, maintenance, storage of O2 equipment as well as the safe and effective techniques for administering medical grade oxygen to a diver in distress.

The course lasts for approximately three hours and includes skills and scenario reviews in addition to hands on training provided with O2 units.

The DAN O2 course price is $100.00.
