Divemaster
Your adventure as a professional diver begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with PADI instructors, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to professional quality. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with stuident divers.
The course involves knowledge development in the areas of dive physics, physiology equipment, dive skills and the environment, decompression theory and the Recreational Dive Planner. There are also a series of water skill assessments, dive skill development sessions, and in-water internships.
The internships are hands-on experience supervising and assisting divers in actual PADI programs in the pool and the ocean, under the guidance of a PADI instructor.
Prerequisites:
- Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Emergency First Response certification (or equivalent), and
- A minimum of 20 logged dives
